By the final weekend of Climate Week NYC, the people who've spent the week absorbing panels, policy briefings, and urgent calls to action are often intellectually full and physiologically depleted. Rooted Waters, hosted by Amy Lee Flower, Director of Youth Leadership & Empowerment for the Dr. Richard Barnett Foundation at Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River, is designed as the week's integration point — the place where climate learning gets metabolized rather than just accumulated.


This session is designed on the framework of the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership's Mindful Outdoor Guide training, adapted from its forest setting to an urban waterfront: orientation in place, sensory awakening, a sit-spot practice along the esplanade, and a closing community Council, all set against the rhythm of the tide.
